The first meeting of the incorporators of the Chopmist Hill Fire Department was held in the Clayville Community House,
Scituate RI at 8:00 pm on January 4th 1950. The Corporation was as follows:

George H. Moffat Recording Secretary
C. Eric Absolom Corresponding Secretary
Arthur F. Rail Treasurer
The Department then built its first Fire Station at 1360 Chopmist Hill Road.
